Complementing this advancement is a top-notch 24-bit/96kHz soundcard, direct digital connection, and improved analogue input.

The unit's controls have undergone refinement, becoming even more responsive due to a revamped gain structure, improved EQ and fader curves, a more precise clip indicator, and an enhanced peak limiter. The DJM-900NXS2 MK2 offers expanded capabilities for sound and effects management, featuring 14 Beat FX, including the innovative Vinyl Brake, Pitch, Helix, and Ping Pong, along with enhanced Reverb. The FX Frequency enables the application of frequency ranges to effects, a larger X-Pad with an OLED screen for simplified viewing, and a channel selection LED for instant identification of applied Beat FX on each channel.

In the realm of 6 Sound Colour FX, a parameter knob facilitates adjustments for each effect, Gate/Comp has been replaced by Sweep, and larger knobs enable more precise and personalized modifications. The addition of an autonomous Send/Return provides flexibility, eliminating the need to choose between Beat FX and External FX. Instead, an external FX controller (e.g., apps on an iPad) can be connected, layering it atop the on-board FX.
